Understanding and perceiving the natural world is one of the significant and complex issues of the contemporary era. Despite numerous studies in recent decades, certain aspects of it remain unknown. Considering that architecture emerges from the interaction between the architect and the natural world, understanding how the architect attains knowledge of the natural world can serve as a foundation for enhancing the physical and spatial quality of architectural structures. The main research question focuses on the process by which an architect becomes knowledgeable about the natural world. This study is conducted based on Mulla Sadra's theories in transcendent philosophy and employs a deductive research method. It analyzes the key elements of the subject according to fundamental theories in transcendent philosophy, utilizing logical reasoning and inference. This research begins by defining the problem of knowledge, followed by examining the soul and its perceptive faculties, the nature of knowledge, and the process of perception. It then elaborates on the characteristics and attributes of the natural world from the perspective of transcendent philosophy. The process by which an architect becomes knowledgeable about the natural world is subsequently explained. This study aims not to replicate previous research but to delve into the foundational aspects of perception, reconstructing the process by which architects perceive the natural world. The study concludes that humility, reverence, and submission of the intellect before the truth of the natural world lead to the proper functioning of the architect's perceptive faculties and bring the architect to a state of silence. Upon attaining this position and adhering to the five stages of knowledge—which lead to the spiritual perfection of the architect—the architect can comprehend the laws, traditions, geometry, and predestined order of the natural world. As a result, the architect, with geometric insight, designs structures in harmony with the predetermined order of the natural world. This approach provides a criterion for evaluating the levels of knowledge architects of the past and present possess about the natural world.
