Throughout history, the city of Meybod has left behind many urban and architectural monuments and evidence, which are considered a significant example for understanding the heritage of Iranian life in the desert plain. Despite the importance of this city, there have been few references to it in historical books. With this explanation, unpublished written historical documents can be a guide to clarifying the city's past and understanding historical monuments. In this study, an endowment deed written by the Imam of the Meybod Jume Mosque in 1269 AH, dedicating his properties to public and religious works, is introduced and re-examined; by raising the question of what monuments and places in Meybod does the text of Mohammad al-Husseini's endowment deed refer to and what new points does it raise in understanding this city? With the aim of analyzing the endowment deed as a historical document of the city and architecture. Considering that the subject is related to the past and requires scrutiny and analysis, the research was carried out using the "historical-analytical method". While reading the text of the document, and counting the types of architectural works such as mosques, castles, houses and other spaces, it became clear that works such as the city within the fortification, quarters, villages (Rabaz), garden areas and qanat can provide a picture of the city of Meybod in the Qajar period, which is understood with the city center and rabaz, garden areas and qanat. Also, new information is obtained from some of the lost works such as the Bashnigan Castle. And it turns out that the circulation of public charitable buildings was supported by relying on public capital and the ancient endowment deed organization and is considered one of the reasons for the continued dynamic life of urban innovations throughout the civil history of Iran.
